Volvo introduced an apprentice-focused VISTA competition called VISTA Rising, designed to run alongside the main VISTA programme and encourage participation from emerging talent across the network.
VISTA is an international competition open to all service market professionals within the Volvo Trucks and Volvo Buses global service network and is recognised as the world's largest competition for service market personnel.
The competition aims to support employees in developing their knowledge, enhancing their technical skills, and strengthening teamwork. Teams of two to four participants begin with two rounds of theoretical challenges, completed within their workshops, before progressing through the competition.
We are delighted to announce that two Thomas Hardie apprentices, competing under the team’s name "Max Masterclass", consisting of Max Masters and Daniel Garforth, were selected as Volvo's VISTA Rising Stars, overcoming strong competition from teams across the UK and Ireland.
This challenging competition tested their technical knowledge, problem-solving abilities, and teamwork skills. Both Max and Dan demonstrated exceptional commitment, enthusiasm, and professionalism throughout. Their positive "can-do" attitude and willingness to learn make them deserving winners, and we're proud to support their ongoing development and future career opportunities.
Congratulations to Max and Dan on this fantastic achievement. This recognition is a significant achievement and will support their future career progression. It also reflects the high regard in which winners of the VISTA Rising Apprentice Competition are held, both within Thomas Hardie and across the Volvo Group.
