Ford Motor Company has strengthened its ongoing commitment to charitable work with the addition of an impressive Volvo transporter to its charity fleet. The new vehicle proudly displays the branding of the Owen McVeigh Foundation, a local charity dedicated to supporting children battling cancer and their families.

The Owen McVeigh Foundation was established in memory of 11-year-old Owen McVeigh, who tragically passed away following a short diagnosis of leukaemia. Since its inception, the Foundation has made it its mission to provide vital support, including fully funded holidays for families across the Merseyside area affected by childhood cancer. Their work continues to make a meaningful difference through donations, awareness campaigns, and community involvement.

Ford’s partnership with local charities began when employees shared their personal connections to various causes through their participation in fundraising events. This spirit of community remains strong as the newly unveiled truck takes to the road, helping to elevate awareness for the Foundation as it travels across the UK.

“Supporting local organisations is incredibly important to our teams,” said a Ford spokesperson. “Displaying charity decals on our vehicles was an easy decision—our trucks cover thousands of miles every week, making them ideal for promoting the causes that matter most to our employees and our communities.”

The new Volvo transporter will now join Ford’s growing charity fleet, continuing the company’s mission to raise visibility and support for charities across the region.
