The truck also features the Extended Drive Package, including leather interior, fridge, microwave, TV preparation kit, and large overhead lockers—highlighting the company’s commitment to driver comfort and wellbeing.
The new Volvo FH Aero was supplied by Neil Crook, Customer Solutions Manager at Thomas Hardie Commercials in Preston, and represents a significant investment as Fylde Fresh and Fabulous continues to grow its national operation.
Established in 2005, Fylde Fresh and Fabulous has become one of the UK’s leading suppliers of peeled potatoes, chips, and vegetables. The business has earned a strong reputation for quality and reliability, underpinned by deep expertise in the fresh produce sector.
As the company has evolved, Fylde Fresh and Fabulous has introduced a unique growing programme designed to improve reliability and uniformity of supply. This approach has delivered enhanced product quality for customers and created a strong platform for sustained long-term growth.
Commenting on the new vehicle, Paul Jones, Transport Manager at Fylde Fresh and Fabulous, said: “We have a long-standing relationship with Thomas Hardie that goes back many years. The new look of the Volvo FH Aero was a big part of the appeal for us. The Aero has also recorded significant fuel savings of up to 11 mpg, which is a major benefit for the business. The truck projects the image of a company that invests in quality and takes real pride in its fleet.”
The vehicle will be maintained by Thomas Hardie Commercials’ Preston aftersales team under a full Volvo Gold Contract, ensuring maximum uptime and peace of mind.
Thomas Hardie Commercials would like to thank the entire Fylde Fresh and Fabulous team for their continued support and commitment to the Volvo product.
