SERVICE CONTRACTS

What is a Service
Contract?

Ready to take your truck performance, uptime, and business efficiency to the next level? A Volvo Service Contract is designed to make that happen. Leveraging advanced connectivity technology and artificial intelligence, we continuously monitor your truck’s key components in real time, 24/7. This proactive approach allows for smarter maintenance planning based on actual vehicle usage — and even enables us to predict and prevent unplanned downtime, helping you keep your business moving seamlessly.

Real Time Monitoring

Today, every Volvo truck is equipped with one of the industry’s most advanced telematic and diagnostic systems.

This, coupled with the latest connectivity technology, enables Volvo Trucks to remotely monitor and analyze critical component data in real time and predict when a malfunction is going to occur.

The data is transmitted to a Volvo Trucks International Uptime Center where it is processed and analyzed. If an alert is raised, it is then communicated to the home dealer or via a national uptime center, so that they can take preventive action before a breakdown occurs.

Currently, Real Time Monitoring is included in the Volvo Gold Contract.

The Benefits

Keeping your truck in top condition pays off in many ways. Servicing that is planned and priced in advance reduces the risk for unplanned stops and gives you greater operational control – saving you time and money on administration. A well-serviced truck is also more reliable as well as fuel-efficient, and has a higher residual value. All this lowers the total cost of ownership and reduces the burden on you, so you can focus on your business.
